Happy New Year!

The rain has been a nice break from snow and freezing cold temperatures. I had a nice Christmas at home with my family. Not everyone could make it back due to dangerous driving conditions so it was a smaller Christmas party than usual. I got everything I wanted and was already thankful for everything I had.

It's that time to celebrate the end of 08' and start of 09'. 2008 was amazing and I truly can't believe it is coming to an end. I'm excited for a new, fresh start in hopes that it will be just as good as 2008 if not better. I'm still trying to figure out what I want to wear tonight to dinner. Anyhow, I hope everyone has a fun, but safe New Years eve!

Snow!

Yesterday, I woke up in the morning not expecting snow and to my surprise it was coming down like crazy! My interview got rescheduled to sometime after Christmas break so it was a lovely snowed-in day. Ant took the day off work so we just hung around, ate some good hearty food and went on a love walk. The snow was nice for one day, but now I'm ready for it to melt away and get a tad bit warmer. I need to finish Christmas shopping, but most importantly..I need to get wrapping paper and Christmas cards!

I was planning on taking pictures, but I didn't get a chance to yesterday. Too cold to go out. Also, the freeway is not much of a scene nor the parking lot, so I refrained from taking pictures. Anyhow a winter storm watch is in effect for the weekend so hopefully it's not so bad. I want to go back to my normal routine :]

I hope everyone is inside safe and staying warm!

Ace.

I had an amazing Thanksgiving. Lots and lots of traditional food and asian food, family, friends, and the likes. I'm looking forward to Winter Break on Wednesday, but I've got a long ways to go until I can start celebrating. 3 Final papers due on Wednesday is going to wear me out, but the feeling of accomplishment is the best.

When you feel like the world is over, the table turns and everything is okay again. Crazy how life flip flops around. I do admit that it feels so good to be rewarded when you've put extra effort into something. :]

I love Britney's new album Circus. Pure perfection.

Apple Cup.

Huskies lost..WTF. Most depressing game I have ever seen, aside from the BYU game when Jake Locker got called for 'unsportsmanlike conduct' except he did not do anything wrong.

Dinner & Movie dates.

I hate coming up with titles for my blogs so half the time they are random and the other half are meaningful. Listening to my imeem playlist has given me an urge to blog so here I am.

Now that I am done with papers for the week, I'm taking today off and just relaxing. It's movie night so I'm waiting for Ant to get back so we can watch. We rented Get Smart (though we've already seen it, worth a second watch cause it's really funny) and Reds. I don't know much about the Russian Revolution so I'm looking forward to that one. It's suppose to be really good and got nominated for several awards.

Went on a dinner date w/ Tiff at Ristorante Mamma Melina on Roosevelt today and it was really good! We ordered an appetizer of crostini with assorted meats, mozzarella and olives with an entree of fettucine paglia e felino which had spinach, mushrooms and a cream sauce. The fresh homemade bread came out warm when we got there too, yums. Speaking of food, dine around Seattle is going on right now, but it ends on the 30th. Can't wait to try more good food!

Freezing.

Thanksgiving is coming up in about a week and a half now, so looking very much forward to it. I think I'm getting sick though because my throat is in between dry/itchy and sore. Please, please, please don't let me be sick around the holiday. It's my fault though..I didn't wear warm clothes on Friday and was freezing. I also hate sitting by a window at work because it's seriously freezing most of the time. This itchy, dry, sore throat needs to go away..NOW.

Huskies officially SUCK. Oh sorry, they sucked about 7ish games ago and now we are in history with 0 wins, 10 losses..and I believe we are the only major college in the league with NO WINS. It's depressing watching uw play this season. I want Jake Locker back, now!

Coming from someone who is not a very big James Bond fan, I can tell you that Quantum Of Solace was alright. Movie was hard to follow and the main Bond girl's role in the movie was kind of lame..they could have been more creative. Not as bad of a movie as critics say though.

Yesterday's the past, tomorrow's the future, but today is a gift. That's why it's called the present. :] Good quote to help with not dwelling on the past or let things get to you!

Quick update

Geez can it get any colder right now? All the leaves are wilting so there's not much color and the trees only have branches. I miss summer weather, but I kind of like being lazy in the fall and staying in more just relaxing by the fireplace.

Got my midterm papers back today and I'm very satisfied with my grade. I have a paper for anthropology due Wed, which I'll work on tomorrow. Other than that, very much looking forward for a nice, relaxing weekend. I'm ending my last mid-terms week today with dinner and a movie. Ant and I are heading out to sushi after week and then off to see Quantum of Solace. I'm not a big James Bond fan, but the movie looks pretty good.

I am dying tired today, first time in a very long time. Woke up early to register and it went smoothly -- got into everything I wanted. I couldn't fall asleep afterwards until a couple hours later and then woke up to get ready for class. I like my Friday's though..they're very chill. Only my section class. Next quarter, I have a good schedule. I have a break everyday from 9:20-10:30 and I'm done with school at 11:20 MWF and at 1:20 TTh. Doesn't look too stressful huh? Not as bad as this quarter. :] I'm satisfied.

Tonya's dinner was lots of fun..I love Ants family. We went to McCormick & Schmicks for seafood and I got the dungeness crab tortellini. They have really good appetizers and entrees. Actually, everything we had was B-O-M-B. I highly recommend!

Can't wait to get off of work. I am seriously beat..been a long week.

Sad day.

Just as everyone else right now, I am starting to feel the stresses of school during round 2 of midterms. Tomorrow is my last paper due before my one and only test-style final. The rest are papers and I'm done. Seems like the quarter has been zooming by, which freaks me out. Next quarter, I have an amazing schedule for work EXCEPT I have to wake up at 7 a.m. everyday to make class at 8:30 in FISHERIES. WTF right..why the hell would you put a language class in that building? I've never even gone there, but it is far. I think the 44 bus will take you there though, hopefully, so it will MAYBE be convenient.

I've got some bad, bad news. My pregnant girl guppy died this morning and the sad part was she was a very pregnant guppy and we saw the babies inside. It blows..but we learned our lesson: do not mix fishes because our Tetra's gave the Ich disease to the guppies.

I like picture posts so I'll try to post some up whenever I get a chance. I rarely take pictures cause I'm lazy to pull out my camera from my bag. Tomorrow is Tonya's (Anthony's sister) birthday and I think she is turning 31. We've already been together for almost a year and a half now (Nov. 30). Time flies....

It's Wednesday, which means it's our MOVIE NIGHT. We rented two (2-for-1 at scarecrow), but won't be watching them until tomorrow after Tonya's birthday dinner and on Saturday. I loved Kung Fu Panda at the imax so we rented that and Flags Of Our Fathers (Paul Walker is hot haha).

Other than that..lifes smooth sailing and I'm happy about where everything is right now :].

First Entry.

Welcome to my new blog! I created a new account with my gmail account because it was annoying getting logged out of gmail while checking blogspot. I will still be actively using my livejournal but will definitely update this one more than the Simplicity. blog. That means you guys [ahem LINH AND JENNIFER] should update more often as well.

I'm up working on a midterm paper due on Thursday, but I was suppose to go to bed by 12 tonight. I'm gonna pay for this tomorrow when I have to wake up at 7 to get ready for work tomorrow morning.

I figured out what classes to take for winter today and they are..Chin 102 (Chinese 102..), HSTAS 265 (Vietnam Wars), and HSTAS 421 (History of Early Japan). I will be done with classes at 11:30 MWF and at 1:30 TTH if you ever want to meet up :]

K sleepy time for me. I still want a mal shi..sigh...
